A few months back my laptop crashed. I called Dell and they identified it as a hard drive crash. I got a replacement hard drive but Dell was not responsible for the data on the drive. I approached Best Buy and a number of other local outfits to try to recover the data. The was some very sensitive, proprietary data on the drive that I had been working on which I did not have a good back up of, siince the crash happended a day before my scheduled weekly back up.

I was told by Best Buy that they would have to send my hard drive to some place in California and it could cost anywhere from $500 to $2000 or more depending on the complexity of the issue. Even then they were not willing to gurantee recovery of all the data.

I contacted Stellar Data Recovery and was asked to sent my hard drive to their NJ office. Within one week I not only got a confirmation that all my data was recovered but I even got all my data over 100 Gb delivered to my office in an external hard drive.

The whole process was so smooth that this stressful episode turned out to be a very smooth educational experience for me. I was kept in th loop during the whole process with a person from Stellar data recover keeping me up to date with every step of the process.

I cannot recommend Stellar Data Recovery enough not only for their technology but also their after sales support. They are a great resource to keep at hand in case of need and as a good risk management strategy.
